REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!! :)

THE BIDDIES REUNITE. THE BIDDIES REUNITE. This weekend I decided to break apart for the Galway group and not go to Belfast. Instead I headed to Maynooth to visit some of the biddies. I left Friday around 2:30p.m. from Galway and got to Maynooth at about 6:30p.m. or 7p.m. I cannot really remember. The ride took longer than I thought it was going to and at one point I had a slight freak out because I thought I was on the wrong bus. Don't worry though because I wasn't. I made it to Maynooth safely. I got off the bus and then asked someone how to get to the center of town where Christine and Liz were meeting me. I was so excited to see them. We got some alcohol from the grocery store and then headed to their dorms. They live in dorms. Liz is moving from her current one and Christine lives with boys. It is kind of weird but also funny. Liz is moving in with Christine and the boys (although they are more like men). Christine and Liz made dinner, noodles and meat sauce, while I got ready.

Once we were done eating we pregamed a little and then met up with the rest of the people in their program. We went to a place called The Roost where they were having an international student meet and greet. They gave us free food which was nice. We had a beer and then Christine and I asked the bartender to make us a shot of anything. He made us a brain hemorrhage which was kind of gross or at least looked kind of gross. After our shot we left that bar to go to another one called O'neills. We stayed there for a long time and met a group of Irish guys and asked them where we should go for St. Patrick's Day and all the best places to visit in Europe. We had a great time.

The next day they showed me around their campus and the town. It took about 5 minutes because the town is ridiculously small. I thought they were kidding when they mentioned how small the town is. We stopped to have lunch at a restaurant that had a sign outside for great sandwiches. When we went inside though they gave us a menu that had no sandwiches on it which utterly confused us. We asked the waitress and she told us we could have whatever. She had salad and some meats. Christine was brave enough to order a chicken sandwich with whatever the waitress said she was gonna put on it (which we could not really understand). Liz and I were not as brave and decided the only thing we liked on the menu was on the kid's menu. We ordered...wait for it...chicken nuggets and fries. They were so good and so worth it.

After lunch Christine and I napped and Liz just hung out since she is incapable of napping. After our naps we got ready and ate dinner. Then we met up with the Maynooth group again and headed back to The Roost. They had live music and it was a blast. We all just hung out and talked. After The Roost we went back to their dorms.

I left the next day to head back to Galway. It was such a great weekend and I am so happy I decided to go see my friends. I miss them so much. It was really hard because we also video chatted with Chiara and I realized how much I miss BC too.

  3. I am starting to look into places for you guys to see when you get here. The only problem is that I have not been to that many places in Ireland which I almost think is good because then I can go to them with you guys.

Cliffs of Moher/Burren - MUST SEE
Ring of Kerry - right outside of Dublin and apparently gorgeous
    Dingle Peninsula

There are also like two places in northern Ireland near Belfast but I think your trip is too short to see those places.
