Day 3

ORIENTATION!!!! We finally had to do something school related today. We had to be at the school at 9:30a.m. which seemed extra early to us. (Dad my alarm clock did not go off, luckily I woke up on my own) When we got to the school there were packets and juice boxes waiting for us. The orientation was from 9:30-11:00a.m. then we had a break and then it went again from 11:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. For the break they had bakery goods and coffee. It was actual coffee and not the instant stuff I had to drink for breakfast. I am REALLY missing the latte machine at this point. You put a scoop of the mix and then hot water and all of a sudden you have coffee. They also don't have my vanilla that I usually add to my coffee. Oh well. The coffee is not that bad but the one I had at the school was definitely better. At the supermarket and in some other places they have machines where you press one button and it gives you a latte. I love it. It shoots out the milk and the coffee and it is so good but will eventually add up to more than I can afford so for now I am going to stick with the instant stuff. The orientation was great. Pretty interesting and they talked about drinking a lot which I thought was hilarious. The one guy also said how he goes out and has a crack which apparently means something like have a great time but can only be used in Ireland (or maybe it was only in Galway I forget) but we all started laughing. He thought it was funny that we had never heard of it. After orientation we went back to our apartments and just kind of hung out. No one did much. We also decided later that night to be lame (probably the lamest group to come to Galway yet) and stay in. We were all exhausted and since we had to be up in the morning we decided we might as well stay in tonight and go out tomorrow. Orientation is again tomorrow (if we choose to go). It is academic advising for different classes, so we will see how that goes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! I miss and love you so much. :)

  3. Sounds great, we all enjoy reading about your experiences. Mom and I had a great second day in Healdsburg. Super breakfast, fruit and Hawaiian French toast. Nice wineries and great people. The weather was 50 and foggy, but no rain. We spent the day in Alexander Valley and stopped so Mom could visit her Sin Zin. We also visited several wineries we had never been to before. We finished with dinner in downtown.

Today we will go to Dry Creek.. after breakfast of course.
